Tips on how to ask for a haircut at a barbershop

Updated: Aug 17, 2023

This can be a very intimidating thing to do especially if you have never been to a professional barber. But don't worry we have great tips for you to have a great experience at your next visit to the barber.

Tip #1

KNOW WHEN WAS YOUR LAST HAIRCUT

A professional barber knows that hair usually grows about half an inch a month. Based on how long it's been since your last haircut they will be able to know how much to cut off, if your goal is to get it as close as possible to your last haircut length.

Tip #2

BRING PICTURES OF CUTS YOU LIKE

If the picture is of someone else. Make sure the model has the same hair texture, color, maybe even age as you. Your best bet is to have the barber take a good picture of your cut once done and have them send it to you for it can be saved in both phones for next time.

Tip #3

ASK THE BARBER FOR RECOMMENDATIONS

I love it when my guest do this. It shows that they value my opinion. And guess what ? Even if you don't like their recommendations they all of the sudden care more about your haircut because they are up for the challenge.

Let us know how it went for you either on here or other social media platforms. Remember to stay blessed and fresh!!
